Brian Bamanya is the first person to build modular synth setups in Africa. He started out playing the guitar and creating his own instruments when he discovered the world of modular synths. Since then he has been creating dazzling live-sets which resonate techno, abstract electronics and acid.
By exploring the links between acid-house and traditional Ugandan rhythms, for example, the modular synth can also establish a dialogue between cultures, and even create a new language.
